Transforming Standards
into Strategic Performance
I serve as Deputy Director at the Training Division of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), where I lead national-level training programmes, diploma courses, and certification capacity-building initiatives. My work focuses on strengthening institutional capabilities and aligning professional development frameworks with internationally recognized standards.
Beyond administrative leadership, I actively contribute to strategic planning, curriculum development, programme design, and institutional quality assurance enhancement. I work closely with public and private sector organizations to ensure effective implementation of quality, environmental, food safety, and educational management systems.
My professional expertise includes ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 (Version 6), ISO 21001, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). I am particularly committed to translating standards into practical, performance-driven systems that create measurable value rather than functioning as compliance requirements.
As a Chartered Quality Professional (CQP MCQI) affiliated with the Chartered Quality Institute (UK), I maintain strong alignment with global quality and auditing standards. My academic background in Food Engineering, Business Administration, and Public Policy enables me to approach management systems from both technical and strategic leadership perspectives.
I believe that well-implemented standards serve as powerful tools for organizational excellence, competitiveness, and sustainable development.
